Character: Sai
Age: 18
Sexual Orientation: Having sexuality period is often in question for Sai (Or at least in a romantic sense) but when he does if lends towards gay.

Personality and Physical Description:
Physically, Sai is nearly monochromatic. His skin is so pale it borders on white, his hair and eyes falling to the other extreme, solid black. His body is toned and tight, but not overly muscular. His face lends to the round side, with full lips, and almost feminine features.

Sai’s personality is hard for him to find. For so long he had the personality that other gave him, and he still can’t entirely find himself, and how he feels. After lacking emotions for so long, when he has them they hit him strangely, and sometimes strongly. No one would know this from the outside, as he is amazing at keeping up his game face, which usually involves something akin to this: ^^

He is trying to create bonds with others now, and figure out his place, and how he feels about things. He’s particularly drawn to Naruto, like the stereotypical moth to the flames, as Naruto is the antithesis in his mind to everything he is, and trying to break away from.

An artist, Sai is less emotionally attached to his art then most would think, although since being put on Team 7 he has been letting more of himself into his art, and hence becoming more attached to it.

Background: Sai was an orphan, a child with no one who would wonder when he went missing. He was scooped up with a handful of others into the organization Root, where the training was intense and harsh. Harsher then most in Konoha would want to recognize existed there.

In Root he meet his “brother”, an older boy he bonded heavily with. The two kept each other from giving in to the emotionless training Root was pressing on them, bonding and joking with each other (Such as the running joke Sai’s brother had a little penis) However, before they were put through the harshest Root test, Sai’s brother took ill and died. Sai was hit hard, sealing up his emotions. He passed the test, rather easily, and became a fine tuned machine at Root’s disposal. It wasn’t until he was put on Team 7 that things began to crumble. Being in such close contact with them, particularly Naruto, who felt so strongly and openly about his friend Sasuke, deeply effected Sai. He started pursuing emotions he’d previously rejected, trying to form bonds and fit in with the “normal kids”. Too varying degrees of success.
